The Acronyms

1.IT ; Information Technology หมายถึง เทคโนโลยีสารสนเทศ

IT is the application of computers to store, retrieve, transmit and manipulate data.

2.ICT ; Information and communications technology หมายถึง เทคโนโลยีสารสนเทศและการสื่อสาร
(ICT) refers to all the technology used to handle telecommunications, broadcast media, intelligent building management systems, audiovisual processing and transmission systems, and network-based control and monitoring functions.

3.CAI ; Computer-assisted instruction หมายถึง คอมพิวเตอร์ช่วยสอน

(CAI) refers to instruction or remediation presented on a computer.

4.CALL ; Computer Assisted Language Learning หมายถึง บทเรียนคอมพิวเตอรืช่วยสอนภาษา

(CALL) is often perceived, somewhat narrowly, as an approach to language teaching and learning in which the computer is used as an aid to the presentation, reinforcement and assessment of material to be learned, usually including a substantial interactive element.

5.CMC ; Computer Mediated Communication หมายถึง การสื่อสารระหว่างบุคคลโดยผ่านคอมพิวเตอร์ตั้งแต่ 2ตัวขึ้นไปผ่านnetwork หรือผ่านเครือข่ายอินเตอร์เน็ต CMC refers to human communication via computers and includes many different forms of synchronous, asynchronous or real-time interaction that humans have with each other using computers as tools to exchange text, images, audio and video.

6.TELL ; Technology Enhanced Language Learning หมายถึง การปรับปรุงเทคโนโลยีเพื่อการเรียนรู้ภาษา

TELL is the use of the computer as a technological innovation to display multimedia as a means of complementing a teaching method language teacher.

7.WBI ; Web Based Instruction หมายถึง เครื่องมือสำหรับการจัดการเรียนการสอนในรูปของ E-learning หรือการเรียนการสอนผ่านเว็บ

Web-Based Instruction is teaching and learning supported by the attributes and resources of the Internet.

8.MUDs ; Multi user Dungeon, Multi-User Domain or Multi-User Dimension หมายถึง ไปรษณีย์อิเล็กทรอนิกส์

MUD is an online environment where multiple users are logged on and interacting with one and other.

9.MOODs ; Multiple Domain Object Oriented หมายถึง ระบบของการสื่อสารที่เป็น แบบซิงโครนัสที่ผู้ใช้(users)สามารถปฏิสัมพันธ์กันได้ด้วยการพิมพ์ข้อความ(text)โดยผู้สื่อสารกันนั้นสามารถ เลือกห้องหรือสถานที่สนทนากันได้ซึ่งผู้สนทนาจะต้องอยู่ในสถานที่ที่เรียกว่า room เดียวกัน

(MOO) is a virtual reality system in which several users are connected at one time. Users from around the world log in to use this object-oriented database system, which is stored on a remote server.
MOO was originally designed to allow role-playing gamers to play text-based adventure games across computer networks. Since then, MOO has been adapted for educational and other purposes.
